NORTH TEXAS POLO BEGINNER PLAYER PROGRAM
Every horseman appreciates the tremendous skill required to maneuver a horse at high speed. And every golfer knows the difficulty of accurately hitting a small ball with a long club. Consider, then, the 2,500-year-old sport of polo: to ride half a ton of high-powered horseflesh, often at speeds of up to 30 mph, up and down a field larger than the total area of nine football fields. Imagine using a 52-inch whippy mallet to hit a 3 1/4-inch ball, driving it between the opponent’s goal posts that are only 8 yards apart. All this is accomplished while four determined opponents, each with his own powerful horse and long mallet, are striving mightily to interfere, either by striking the ball, hooking the mallet, or pushing your horse away from the play.

OTHER POLO LEAGUES
Coaching League
Once you have achieved a level of comfort on the back of a horse and have learned basic hitting skills, it is time to advance to the Coaching League. Each team consists of three novice players and a professional player/coach. You will experience the thrill of the game in a controlled learning environment. Strategy of the game, function of all four positions and anticipation of the play are all brought together in the Coaching League.
World Class Polo
North Texas is home to some of the best summer polo played in our nation, as many of the local players participate on the national circuit throughout the year. Games are made up of amateur players and international professional players from Argentina, Mexico and Canada. North Texas Polo utilizes a "pro pool" format for all levels of play, thus emphasizing a professional environment for those wishing to hone your skills and advance your level of play.
